Escape Survival Mode and Embrace a Thriving Lifestyle!
Tongela Pope
Hi, I'm Tongela Pope.
Founder of Teaching with Tongela

Welcome to my transformative space! I'm Tongela Pope, and this is my journey.
Â
For years, I navigated life in survival mode until a pivotal moment prompted a career shift. Despite my dedication and a Master's in Education, I felt undervalued, underpaid, and unappreciated, leading to mental, physical, and spiritual exhaustion.
Stepping away from the stress became a turning point, guiding me back to my spiritual journey. I cherish that decision, as it fueled my passion to support others through the struggles I once faced. Breaking free from limiting beliefs, I embarked on a journey to become the best version of myself.
This space is my offering—a chance for you to learn, transform, and flourish. My mission extends beyond the mind to nurture growth in the body and spirit through holistic education.
Explore my courses covering diverse topics such as grounding, shadow work, journaling, meditation, and more. Personalized one-on-one support is also available.
I'm excited to reconnect with my love for education and teaching, this time on my own terms. Thank you for joining me on this empowering journey of growth and learning.

Statement of Purpose
- Practice self-care: Take care of your physical, mental, and emotional well-being by eating well, getting enough rest, exercising regularly, and engaging in activities that bring you joy.Â
- Cultivate self-awareness: Pay attention to your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Reflect on your experiences and learn from them. This will help you identify areas of strength and areas that need improvement.
- Set goals: Determine what you want to achieve and set realistic goals to help you get there. Break down your goals into smaller, manageable steps and celebrate your progress along the way.
- Surround yourself with positivity: Seek out people who support and encourage you. Limit your exposure to negativity and toxic relationships.
- Be cautious of toxic positivity: Remember, it's okay to not be okay. It's important to allow ourselves to feel our emotions, even the negative ones, and to seek help and support when we need it.
- Give back: Share your time, talents, and resources with others. By helping others, you can experience a sense of purpose and fulfillment.
- Healing is not linear: Healing can be messy and unpredictable. Sometimes we take two steps forward and one step back, and that's okay. It's important to give ourselves grace and patience during the healing process. We may not see progress every day, but that doesn't mean it's not happening. Healing can take different forms for different people. Some may find solace in therapy, while others may prefer alternative methods such as meditation or journaling. It's important to remember that healing is a journey, not a destination. We may never fully "arrive" at a place where we feel completely healed, but that doesn't mean we can't find peace and happiness along the way. Even if we stumble or fall, we can always get back up and keep going.
